03S78. HCJC.

27 of us make up the lovely class of 03S78 :)

it was a year and 6 mths ago that we graduated from hwachong, nothing much has
changed since then - we still have the good old class outings when we spend most
of the time walking around (+ extended one in europe recently), we still play
mahjong, watch movies, go æçå¦! together (at nwxiang's request of course)..

to many more years of friendship!

Today while i was on the way home, i saw a relatively old lady, probably in her fifties, reaching into the dustbin, taking out a can of finished soft drink bottle, placing it on the ground, then stepping on it. The flattened can was then put in a bag she was holding, filled with other similar cans. I realised how really lucky we all are. How many times have we carelessly tossed a finished can of soft drink into the bin, talking and laughing with our friends at the same time. The very thing that we treat as trash however, becomes a means of livelihood of someone else. While we may have been complaining of how much work we have to do when we get home, how boring army is when we were throwing that very can, we seem to think, always, that we get the lousy deals in life. But the can knows better. It sees the other side of life in singapore invisible to us.

On the front page of zao bao today is the news of the unfortunate incident of the man who jumped into the mrt track just as the train approached the station. The pple overseas might not have heard of this news. He was instantly cut into three parts. The main reason for jumping, it seems, is the financial situation of his family. He has been unemployed for 3 months, and the family lives on the $500 plus from the wife's income, supporting two children. When asked to identify the corpse, the wife said she had no money to take train to go to the place to identify the corpse.

So after today, i shall try not to complain about life anymore, cos in fact, i'm pretty much getting the good deals. We all are.

PS. According to the 'Ningqi's Index of Happiness', weix you are rapidly rising! From what i see today, abt 60. yea keep gg....
