aiyah..all wrong liao..here's the actual story abt the monks..
once there were 100 monks living peacefully in a monastery..then one peaceful night..they were all slping peacefully..but it was not meant to b a peaceful life for them after that..cos tt night BUDDHA came to their dreams..in the dream..they were all in xi1 fang1 ji2 le4 shi4 jie4 with buddha..so they were giving respect to the buddha..then buddha asked them to build a 7.7=49 story high pagoda otherwise they will all go hell..so they all worked up in the morning to realise everyone had the same dream..so they thot its really buddha wanna them to build the pagoda n went abt to work it v fastly..so fastly tt its built finished in one day:)..
tt night they were slping peacefully with the completed..but their life werent to b peaceful liao..so while they were slping..a red tank invaded and attacked and destroyed the pagoda.."HONG LONG LONG!!"..the monk woke up n felt v angered..so they went to fight the red tank..with only et blade and et stick and wu3 lang2 ba1 gua4 gun4 they went to fight the red tank..but as shu2 shu2 shi4 you3 lian4 guo4 de4..they successfully defeated the tanks..but only 50 survived..
then they went to slp..but BUDDHA came into their dream again n demanded them to build another pagoda otherwise the 50 of them will join the dieded 50 in hell..so in the morning they went to build it again..n after much determination n PROFFESIONALISM they completed the task in one day..but at nite the red tank came again n destroyed the pagoda.."HONG LONG LONG"..the monks went to fight the red tanks again n with FIGHTING SPIRIT the red tank was defeated again but only 25 lived..
so they were slping again then but the 25 of them dreamt abt BUDDHA again..buddha told them tt they had done well to fight n survive..but hafta build one more pagoda so otherwise they will all go hell..so the fang4 zhang4 with his LEADERSHIP led the 24 left to finish building the tower in one day!!..hurhur..then they v tired..at nite slping..no..BUDDHA din come to their dream..red tank came n attacked n destroyed the pagoda.."HONG LONG LONG!!"..the loud noise woke them up then the monks went to the outfield where the pagoda was to see wad happened..when they reached there they saw a green tank fighting the red tank..the red tank fired n the green tank siam-ed..the green tank fired and the red tank got hit n exploded..
so wads the morale of the story?..
indeed its not seng1 duo1 zhou1 shao3..

when one door closes, another opens
hello all :) when there are more monks then there is porridge, some monks go hungry. -nods- then some of them go and eat sth else and realise the sth else is actually tastier than porridge! while the other few of them decide that porridge is the only food they'll ever eat, and they starve to death cos theres no porridge left. -nods-
we must be smart / sensible monks!!!
anyway, i'll be flying tmr. farewell to all, see you in two weekends! :) big fat hug / punch / wave to everybodyy!! will miss you all :)

Hey guys, med results are out huh. I guess some are happy some are not. Congrats to those who got accepted, and to those that werent... I think its really their loss. Such was the subjectivity of the whole process. Life is unfair. What is fair? But then again, this is only the beginning. Who knows what the future holds for you. Keep going! All the best! Tough time dont last, tough people do.

argh i've started crapping on the blog for like one paragraph den it crashed on me.. said that it couldn't load certain stuff, bla bla.. sigh maybe e comp is hinting at me to summarize my crap.. =)
anw ya i've been looking back at my short few months back in my own alma mater.. hmm i've gone over the shock of being at the delivering end rather than the receiving end.. gone over the fear of speaking in front of 20+ pairs of eyes (maybe less.. since some of them are perenially sleeping in class).. gone over the stress of marking endless worksheet, sacrificing a lot of spare time in the process.. sigh.. i'm pretty ambivalent about the end of my job.. part of me couldn't wait to play to my heart's content.. but part of me wants to stay back and continue teaching.. sigh i dunno whether i teach well or not - my sec 3s bombed their term test - so maybe staying back isn't a good idea =S but nonetheless i've enjoyed their company, enjoyed the fact they treat me as a brother (who spouts perfect singlish heh) instead of another boring old hoot spouting chemical symbols and facts =p yeah i think xiz would agree w me lah.. haha the only pro point i can think abt working at my place vs her place is tt i get to teach cuter people in khaki shorts =)
i got my offer letter liao.. yay =) i'll be going back to apply for my visa.. then off i go =) haha i think i'm in danger of being a tao2 bing4.. think i'll liaise with them n tell them my situation.. if they dare to obstruct my education i'll siam for good =) haha my mugger instinct is well and alive.. hopefully same goes to those who are marching in the jungles =p espec those who applied for med - 5 yrs of mugging ahead! =) oh yeah i heard results is going to come out this week, dunno whether it's true or not, but nonetheless - good luck!

what a torrid declaration of love... guess being confined to the island of tekong isn't doing much good for people... but havent sispec ppl been having excursions to pasir laba/safti side for your section live firing and stuff...
sch2 has nice scenery... not really evident from Mohawk though, can't understand what yifan sees... hey yifan, take care of that foot, have you heard the story of the maggots? won't happen here, but better put more antiseptic when u come back...
so it goes, last batch of ocs charlie/hotel went to brunei for their jcc (jungle confidence course), (a long stay in the jungle whereby food is denied and you have to navigate), this cadet had footrot but that's not all... he somehow had a hole in his left big toe, and then one day found it painful... so he reported to the medic... and the medic found maggots crawling out of the hole, they weren't too big, small, probably only arnd 2mm in length... so the medic picked them off with a pair of tweezers... and the garang ocs cadet goes back to training... returning the next day with more pain... this time round, the maggots have grown larger and the MO has to be reeled in... hydrogen peroxide was poured over the toe to kill the maggots... no anasthesia was used... and the MO digged and scraped in the hole to pick out the maggots...
the experience's gotta be worse than digging for pus and blood... the cadet was supposedly screaming and crying like any other mother's son (to quote our one of awsm's fav phrase)
life's bad... how'd u feel like if u vomit everyday, for 6 days in a go and still feel like vomitting now... sucks... fieldcamp tmr, my section's down to 5 or 6 combat fit, bless us... yifan take care, we need you

A Declaration of Love
It may come across as a surprise, albeit a small one, but let me attempt to reassure you that such an impression is a deceptive illusion at best. Slowly but inexorably and surely, I have inched towards the realisation of a new worldview. I perceive this discovery to be a most wondrous milestone in my teenagehood. It might even be a significant epoch in my life. As such, the description of such an illuminating discovery ought to be treated with ultra caution, lest its impact and significance be diminished through the power of words and phrases.
I am in love with free fall mode! It is a mode where time is an abstract entity destined to stay in the tombs of old textbooks, a mode where I feel at one with the whole cosmogeny. This mental state is so awe inspiring as to defy true fundamental explanation. It is a state where you have as much to look forward to as you have nothing to look forward to. A state of frozen instants existing simultaneously with speeding frames. A state of crystal clear clarity of thoughts coexisting with jumbled rubbishy streams of consciousness. It is a mode to which I aspire to live in. A mode whereby escape is made near impossible by the sheer nature of timelessness. One is imprisoned in elation. Eternal elation, that is.
Mind you, this is no new age spirituality preaching. Neither is this a neo-buddhism post. In case you doubt what I have just related, think again. I urge you to think again. Think again. The truth cannot be nearer. Bingo! This came unprocessed, straight out from within the depths of a lunatic asylum located on Tekong. Visit Tekong to get a new lease of life...

okay everybodys. i noticed something very disturbing as i scrolled down the blog. none of the last 10 entries were posted by me!! :/ okay, 10 or whatever number. anyway i kept thinking.. its not like u guys dunno what im doing right? but yea shall post some rubbish before i leave today for my red cross thingy. sidepoint - today is world red cross day! :)
hmm. some bu4 she3 as i think abt how i'm gonna leave my teaching position in hwachong in approximately 2 weeks. will miss my students, e teachers, e staffroom, my table full of junk and e meals & conversations (deep and silly) shared with e tchrs. my work is certainly less demanding, in a sense, than yijins. dun haf to really worry abt classroom management, or getting kids' attention cos well, nowadays don't everybody want to do well? yeahh. but its been qt magical - being sort of like a sister to my kids.. when they ask me for advice regarding anything sch/cca/anything in e world.. when we discuss cheem things online.. when they started to fill the void left by you guys when u left for army/work.
so yes, will make e best out of my 2 weeks left :) hwachong rocks my socks! :D dun think i'll be happier in any other job, in any other organisation.
these days pple are talking abt how hwachong is on a slight decline. not doing as well in sports, doing decently well in SYF, problems due to thru-train prog. i guess for me, i will love hwachong no matter how it does on e competitive front, and hwachong will still be e best place one can spend 2 impt teenage yrs in, cos e env (at least e one i experienced) is warm, nurturing & full of opportunities to learn. yea so i think the challenge is not primarily to maintain our academic standards blah, but to try to make sure the sch culture doesnt change with the drastic changes e sch will experience soon in terms of source of students, acad programmes etc.
yeps, thats the end of my post, off to red cross in bishan i go now! come support me! 10am - 4pm today :) i shall be bugging u to donate blood, if im not wrong :) hehhs.
